MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Why volunteer? Because your help makes a huge difference to neighboring families and individuals struggling to clothe their families and put food on their tables. And you have the opportunity to experience meaningful involvement and connection with your community while contributing to a cause that you care about.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
HU understands that volunteers have busy lives, so your scheduled time at HU can be as much or as little as you choose. We use an online scheduling program; volunteers will be trained on procedures pertaining to their area(s) of interest. Everyone will receive a program handbook.
School-age children are welcome to volunteer. An adult must accompany children in first through eighth grades. A child’s readiness to keep confidential information must be one of the criteria parents use to evaluate their child’s ability to volunteer.
Ready to jump into our volunteer pool? Or maybe you just want additional information. Contact Tarry Blanke (tarryblanke@gmail.com) or Linda Roberts (lindaroberts42@msn.com) to learn more.
