Mission
The mission of Heights Unlimited Community Resource Center (HU) is to support local folks in need by providing food, personal essentials, clothing, resources and programs. Our service area includes residents in the following ZIP codes: 53503 (Arena), 53515 (Black Earth), 53517 (Blue Mounds), 53528 (Cross Plains), 53560 (Mazomanie).
Your support and involvement make a difference!
You can give our neighbors in need a helping hand this 2024 holiday season. Food donations have fallen significantly, but the number of food-challenged families has increased. Here’s how you can help:
Thanksgiving is right around the corner. HU creates Thanksgiving meal bags for food pantry clients, and we need your help to get this done. Please consider personal donations or sponsor a food drive—your efforts can make a critical difference to many local families. Download this list of items we really need. Donations should be delivered to HU no later than Tuesday, November 19, or brought directly to HU any Tuesday from 5-6 pm. Contact HU to schedule a more convenient delivery time.
Christmas is arriving soon! Is your business, organization or other group interested in holding a food drive? Or can you consider collecting a few extra food items the next time you shop? HU is experiencing record demand in our food pantry, and your sponsored drive or personal donation can make a critical difference to many local families. Download this list of items always needed. Donations should be delivered to HU Tuesdays from 5-6 pm, or contact HU to schedule a different delivery time. Help make the holidays something to look forward to for our neighbors in need!
Volunteers are needed to do an occasional food order pickup and delivery to HU from Madison’s west side. This will take very little time for someone already in Madison on your way home, but it’s so important in supporting our food-challenged clients. Contact Brad Delwiche for more information.
